The worst film in the world....and the winner is???

Just sat through the first 45 minutes of what I would consider to be one of the worst films ever made Prozac Nation. Apart from the acting being just plain awful, with a bit of token nakedness from the female lead thrown in to keep teenage guys interested, what made it worse is the way after seeing this teenager spiral out of control you just wanted to slap her and tell her to grow up!
It's an ever depresing pciture of the state of our world when bad art - and it surely was is thrown out as entertainment - absolute drivel - but i hear the novel on what it is based is actualy quite good...
It's a sign of what Dallas Willard calls flying the plane up side down - with no way of fiuring out which way is up - we are all stuffed sudden sharp movements cause you to crash into the ground - when you wanted to soar in the heavens.

Also spent yesterday at out annual Catalyst Festival. It started of as a festival for the emerging church - and has changed into something different every year. While a good effort was made by those involved it does strike me that it is just another church conference - with the faithful few and those who have to attend there. I do wish we would stop trying to do conferences and work more on growing grass roots initavives.
